Job Technical Skills – Assists in providing professional engineering support while learning the specifics of working in an electric utility setting which may include the following: developing guidelines, developing long and short-range construction programs, coordinating implementation of construction programs, developing financial plans for capital construction and coordinating with adjacent electrical utilities. Specific duties include assisting in the completion of studies and justification packages to identify and document the need for and benefits of capital improvement projects, solving technical issues using electric system data and performing project management as needed.
Performs engineering and technical work related to the construction and management of proposed and existing facilities, developments, and/or programs.
When directed, performs load flow analysis of distribution system for normal and contingency operating conditions.
Assists with fuse coordination studies for distribution system.
Assists in preparing justification packages for projects.
Performs studies of special nature as required, including manipulation of large electric system parameter data sets using common data tools.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
