We are currently hiring for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to work Monday - Thursday from 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Operating within the scope of company vision, mission and values, oversee all Quality Assurance, Continual Improvement and Product Safety activities of the Company.
Quality Management System compliance.
Responsible to provide new product launch support.
Accountable champion of Product Safety Program.
Manage quality activities within existing policies and procedures.
Serve as technical liaison to Sales.
Assist and/or provide training to all employees on matters regarding quality policies, procedures, and product quality and safety.
Assure product integrity through quality planning and process design.
Planning and budgeting of personnel, resources, and expenditures.
Development of departmental goals in support of corporate objectives.
Continued awareness of latest quality advancements necessary for corporate survival.
Maintaining a staff with appropriate technical ability relative to current product manufactured.
Provide employee development through communication, mentoring, measurements of performance, goal setting, delegation of responsibility, and empowerment.
Conduct regular department meetings that assure adequate communication flow.
Review of new or changed product to determine manufacturing feasibility and quality requirements.
Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) as well as other approval processes, as prescribed by the Customer.
Create/maintain Lean Six Sigma/Continual Improvement strategy for organization
Implementation of Lean Six Sigma and Continual Improvement principles and philosophies through hands-on training and teaching.
Application of appropriate Lean tools (e.g. 5S, Visual Factory, Process Mapping, Continual Improvement tools including SMED and Kaizen).
Attend Staff and employee meetings.
Responsible to comply with all company policies and procedures.

Essential demands include sitting at a desk, working on a computer for long periods of time and using common office environment equipment (i.e. telephone, computer, fax, copier, scanner) to communicate with internal and external clients and the general public.Must be capable of lifting up to ten pounds occasionally. Must be capable of performing visual inspection and product acceptance activities which requires near vision (corrected or uncorrected) of 20/30. Must be capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors (Color Perception).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
B.S./B.A. and three (3) years quality management experience. Affiliation with American Society for Quality.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BSME or CQE preferred. Five (5) years of Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment, preferably tooling and/or stamping related. Thorough knowledge of GD&T as well as SPC. Black Belt Certification preferred.
