The Frankfort Plant Board’s electric and water systems serve the City of Frankfort, Kentucky and parts of Franklin, Shelby, and Woodford Counties.
The Frankfort Plant Board is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to serve as the Electric Engineer, in our Electric department. The primary focus for this position will be performing professional type engineering functions with respect to electric distribution and transmission systems; providing technical assistance to the public, Plant Board contractors and other departments; performing work order design to include extension of both overhead and underground facilities; performing studies, modeling, mapping, and meets with the public.
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering from an accredited college or university. Must possess and maintain registration as an engineer-in-training (EIT) in the state of Kentucky or achieve such registration during first 6 months of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky Driver’s License. Must be able to respond to emergencies at all hours consistent with departmental travel time policy or be willing to relocate.
