We are seeking an organized, experienced Quality Engineer to join TUV Rheinland of North America. In this position, you will collaborate effectively with team members to implement corrective actions, address customer complaints, and improve existing procedures & processes within our system. Effective problem-solving skills and extensive experience using process improvement tools required.
Local candidate only (to be based from our Newtown, Connecticut office); this role is not eligible for relocation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Problem-solve: Work effectively with teams to accurately identify problems, confirm approach to resolve, and implement appropriate solutions
Collaborate: with team (s) to identify and implement process improvements
Teaming/Training: Support and train teams in accreditation requirements, quality topics, and software tools
Track/Review/Resolve Customer Complaints: Use appropriate corrective actions and approaches to support quality standards/service standards are met
Support: Participate in/run internal audits and accreditation audits
Report: Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of quality reports to management
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline required (Electrical or Mechanical engineering focus preferred)
A minimum of five years directly-related experience in process improvement role (s) focused on Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar
Experience in a production or testing (ie, TIC) environment preferred
Knowledge of management system standards a plus
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage & time efficiently; Refined project management skills
Able to accurately analyze problems and effectively strategize for achievement of better/best solutions
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with a diverse group of senior managers, supervisors, subject matter experts and staff.
Able to travel (up to 40%). Valid driver’s license required.
