Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) is a partnership with Qatar Foundation. Established in 2003, TAMUQ offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical, Electrical and Computer, Mechanical, and Petroleum Engineering and a Master Program in Chemical Engineering. The degree programs are identical to those of the main campus at College Station, Texas. A Texas A&M University diploma is awarded to graduates.

In addition to TAMUQ, Education City campus hosts other academic institutions including Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Northwestern University, University College London, and Georgetown University. The program benefits from state-of-the-art facilities and instrumentation in support of its key educational and research missions. The Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty have established strong educational and research programs on a foundation of core engineering disciplines. There is significant support in Qatar for research through funds from Qatar National Research Fund and Industry.
